We use these in our off highway construction trucks. Lot's of rough roads, bumps, and dirty environment. These are the most sturdy holders we have found and will continue to use them. Just wish they made a a bolt down base plate for the dash!

First, q-mount should have used a 1 inch ball in first place - wider range of motion and compatible with Ram mounts. Second, this adapter works fine. Nice that they give you a Ram arm.

Used this adapter, along with an old water bottle holder clamp, that I modified to fit the grab handle in my Jeep Gladiator. Drilled/studded/epoxied a 1" plastic ball bearing to the old mounting clamp and attached the adapter arm and phone holder to it. Shweeet !...and rock solid!
